The organizers are pleased to announce that this year, our event is returning to the place it began: Marquette, MI.
In some ways, it isn’t a big change. During the time we were based in Munising, we often drove to Marquette for the day because it seemed that no matter what the weather, there was always something exciting to do along the Marquette shoreline. Combine that with a desire to change things up a bit, and the reality that our usual Munising headquarters location wasn’t available to us this year, and it was a no-brainer to move the event to Marquette.
This doesn’t mean there won’t be journeys along Pictured Rocks this year; it just means going there will be a “reverse commute.” But many locations we used to drive to will now be conveniently located for us, and we can even explore points further west.
In the next week, we’ll be publishing a lot of information about this year’s Gales, including where to stay and what the menu will be. After that, we’ll post more about evening events and coaches.
For now, though, put Marquette, MI in your calendar and if you haven’t yet registered, do it soon. We are capping registration at 35 participants.
